The Penultimate Guide To Electronic Checks

Tuesday, March 8th, 2011

Electronic checks are still drawing confusion for some reason, so we have decided to answer some of the more frequently asked questions about e-checks. Electronic checks, also known as e-checks, eCheck-US, ACH e-checks, ACH transfers, and simply ACH, are a way to pay for goods and services online that is as simple as writing a check. We have found that online gambling sites regularly add or remove e-checks from their deposit options, but this is still one of the most stable and secure of all deposit methods. Electronic checks, while ostensibly confusing, are some of the best ways to fund – and withdrawal from – an account.

Perhaps the most commonly asked question about e-checks is the question that is asked about every deposit method. Players ask us more about whether or not this deposit option is eligible to USA players than anything else. One of the best parts of e-checks is the fact that they are almost exclusively built for USA players. That having been said, you should not encounter too much trouble if you try to gamble with e-checks from one of the United States.

How to use e-checks is the other commonly asked question regarding this deposit method. The routing number and the account number on a check are both necessary in order to process payments through this service. You will also generally have to supply part of your social security number in order to prove your identity. We have provided an image showing where the routing and account number are, all in order to avoid confusion. The routing number identifies your bank, while the checking account number identifies your account.

As you can see, both the routing number and account number are on the bottom of the check. Their order may be reversed – the checking account number could be first, with the routing number second.

Some players who have already used e-checks have reported that their bank accounts over drafted. This happens due to people not being aware that electronic check payments do not automatically deduct from the bank account, even if they are instantly posted to the gambling account you had used. This means that, like paying with a real check, the funds may not be deducted instantly. You may have to wait a few days for the funds to actually disappear from your account.

Needless to say, electronic checks are some of the fastest payments around, as well as highly secure. Electronic checks are nearly impossible to steal or duplicate, and these payments are pretty much guaranteed by your bank. Credit cards may sometimes fail to deposit, but electronic checks never have such complications. You will simply have to provide the requisite numbers and your money should be added instantly. Online casinos, poker rooms, and sportsbooks all have at least one of these sites that accept e-checks deposits.

Prepaid Cards – Answers to general questions

Tuesday, October 19th, 2010

There is no deposit method that is as diverse as prepaid cards. Prepaid cards are one of the most widely used deposit methods, but many people are simply unaware of the differentiations between the different cards on the table. We receive quite a few questions about prepaid cards, and we have done what we can to answer some of the more commonly asked questions relating to prepaid card gambling deposits.

First and foremost, we are asked where we can get the different cards for prepaid cards casinos. Prepaid cards can be purchased through many vendors. There are so many stores out there that sell prepaid cards that finding them is not what should be difficult. Wal-Mart is one store that comes to mind. Walgreens and CVS are another pair. Even gas stations, grocery stores, and the Internet can provide you with the ability to purchase prepaid cards.

The basic function of these cards are also a subject of normal inquiry. The truth of the matter is that prepaid casinos function just like credit cards casinos. Almost universally, prepaid cards can be used as simply as a credit card. All you have to do is apply the numbers into the credit card section of the casino’s cashier, and the money will be transferred into your account.

These are the main two questions asked by players who are attempting to use prepaid cards as their deposit method. When you decide to start using this deposit method, know that it should not prove to be too difficult. Prepaid cards were designed for simplicity. Provided you do not get a prepaid card that does not work for international transfers, you will be able to very easily make deposits.

On a side note, if your deposit does not work through the casino’s credit card cashier, you will have to contact the casino’s customer service department. This should very quickly facilitate the transaction.

Credit Cards No Longer Reliable For USA Casino Deposits; eWallets More Popular

Thursday, February 25th, 2010

Not many people are fans of credit card companies, and we are no exception to this supposition. The two largest credit card companies have recently come down pretty hard on the American online gambler. VISA and MasterCard have both been ramping up their measures against online gambling payments. These two credit giants have been a thorn in the side of many players, as depositing with their cards is notoriously difficult through some online casinos, especially the larger online casinos.

Perhaps in response to the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act, VISA and MasterCard have been pushing toward compliance. For those who do not know, the UIGEA has made it so payment processors must stop processing payments related to online gambling. Many companies have already seen indictments and massive fines in order to stop this sort of thing from going on. Additionally, some credit card companies view gambling deposits as “high risk activity.” Perhaps out of fear of pathological gambling (an illogical fear, as barely 1% of the population suffers from pathological gambling) or maybe due to the possibility of huge losses, credit card companies are ever fearful of these deposits.
